radway

/ privacy policy
radway collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no network access of any kind. Everything the app produces stays on your Mac.

Data we collect

None. radway has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. It does not read your contacts, location, photos or files outside its own folder.

Network

The app makes no network connections. It is distributed without the network entitlement, so it cannot reach the internet even if it tried.

What stays on your Mac

radway writes only inside its own sandbox container:

These live in ~/Library/Containers/app.radway.scanner/Data/Documents/radway/. They are never uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app removes them.

Hardware access

radway asks macOS for USB device access for one purpose: to talk to a connected RTL-SDR receiver. It does not use the microphone, the camera, or any other sensor. Audio is played to your output device only — nothing is recorded from it.

What you receive over the air

Radio signals you tune to are demodulated locally and played back or, if you choose to record, written to your own disk. radway never transmits, forwards or reports anything about what you listen to. You are responsible for complying with the laws in your country regarding which transmissions may be received and what may be done with their contents.

Children

radway is a utility with no user accounts and no data collection, so there is nothing to collect from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date below.
